WHEN WOMEN REGAIN THEIR CONFIDENCE, EVERYTHING CHANGES
“I believe a woman’s identity should never be defined by her worst chapter. A layoff, a divorce, a loss, a detour — none of these define a woman’s potential.”
Sophie Katz-Milo
Executive Director, Dress For Success Montréal
I’ll never forget the first time I watched a woman look in the mirror after putting on her interview outfit. Her posture changed. Her voice changed. In that moment, I realized we weren’t just giving women clothing. We were giving them a way to see themselves again.
Since opening our doors in 2014, I’ve met thousands of incredibly capable women who found themselves in moments of transition — job loss, divorce, immigration, career disruption. What struck me wasn’t a lack of talent or ambition. It was how quickly confidence can disappear when life knocks you off course. We help them reclaim their value. And when that happens, the transformation is extraordinary.

PART OF A GLOBAL MOVEMENT
Dress for Success Montréal is part of the Dress for Success Global Member Network, the leading resource advancing women in the workplace worldwide. Founded in 1997 in the United States, this global movement now supports more than 1.3 million women. Since opening in Québec in 2014, we have helped women build confidence, develop careers, and achieve economic independence through professional styling, career development, and community support.

HOW CONFIDENCE BECOMES OPPORTUNITY
We believe transformation happens through continuity — not a single moment of support.
That’s why our work is built around three interconnected forces that help women move forward.
Together, these elements help women step fully and independently into economic life and when she does achieve economic independence, she strengthens families, communities, and the economy as a whole.
